The Moorhen pair on our water garden now have hatchlings !
and just taken to the water for first time - or three of them did Difficult to get photos as I had to lean right over the balcony 3 floors up. !!
and one unhatched egg ....
both parents doing a sterling job

Lovely pics everyone. Think your GSW is an adult male Mike as juvie would likely have the red patch on top of its crown; lovely to see the magpie juvie getting fed by its parent.

You could be right, Hazel, I wasn't sure, it was just with the plumage beng so dull that made me think possibly a youngster.
As for your pics, brilliant as always, and yes, those blue tits can be a little noisy.
