It's probably an ideal time to start the 2022 Odds & Sods thread off, with some squabbling starlings....

Now it's much cooler he would like to invite you to play
View towards the low lying fields
working the cotils - steep fields still worked mainly by hand and winch -the guys were strimming, they will probably plant the first week of January
Next stop Canada (as in there is nothing between here and Canada not that I am heading there)

Always love to see Eric. He's a gorgeous dog, I'd love to give him a big cuddle and a few biscuits ...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I know they say seaweed is good to use for compost but didn't realise it was used to that extent Caroline, I had better get my wellies out and raid the beach. I have been known to gather molehills for topsoil, but they aren't that brilliant to be honest :-)
Just caught up with the extra photos, amazing, those fields are so steep, very challenging. I did my turn at picking potatoes way back, on the level it was hard enough without that drop. Thanks Caroline for all the photos, very interesting.
PS I would take Eric for a walk any day.
Lot to learn
