working the cotils - steep fields still worked mainly by hand and winch -the guys were strimming, they will probably plant the first week of January

I know they say seaweed is good to use for compost but didn't realise it was used to that extent Caroline, I had better get my wellies out and raid the beach. I have been known to gather molehills for topsoil, but they aren't that brilliant to be honest :-)
Just caught up with the extra photos, amazing, those fields are so steep, very challenging. I did my turn at picking potatoes way back, on the level it was hard enough without that drop. Thanks Caroline for all the photos, very interesting.
PS I would take Eric for a walk any day.
