Odds & Sods 2021

I don't use the pellets either Hazy, but each night I brought into the shed the trays of seedlings to "keep them safe", hard work, but only to find that there were evidently intruders there too!!!! Think it will be cactus next year:-) Fancy getting into your gate system, not as if there was food there for them, I can just imagine the word going around that there was a party at Hazy and Mike's come and join us being spread around by the snails getting high on the metal or iron on the panels!!!

Heather and yet more deer this morning. It's a lovely time of year to walk up in to the peaks, and the rutting is just around the corner.

Love the hides Mike I've sat or laid in a few similar with a scope,bins sandwich and flask of coffee for many an hour watching nests. It's always been enjoyable even if a little uncomfy at times, heather gets prickly after a while and karrimats never seemed to last long.

Feeling pretty jealous now Bob I'm fairly sure we will not make the Highlands this year so its great to see photos of it.

Nice photo.

I don't think there is a snail (or slug) thread, I did think about starting one a while back, especially as snails can be very colourful, and dare I say it, photogenic, and after all, they are a part of nature.

Lovely set of photos and video clips Mike, loved the squirrel using his tail to hang on to the feeder pole !!
That did look rather inclement weather you've had and think we missed some of that as we managed a couple of walks and also today for Mike's 77th birthday when we drove out to Astbury Mere and took one of our lovely neighbours for two laps round the lake path, stopping for coffee and cake first lap and whippy ice-cream the 2nd lap .........with a chocolate flake on top !!
