  • Perhaps they are attracted to the garlic, cream and white wine you lace the pond with....?
  • Well ... the stormy weather hasn't dampened their ardour ...

Not found any spawn yet but her belly looks big & fat ... hope I get to it before the Goldfish do¬

This one seems to be waiting his turn! Lol

This one is in the baby Goldfishes pond ... has drowned slug for company!!

  • She does look pretty big, so I guess you will have spawn soon. I have looked but not seen one yet.

  • Last night ...

This morning ... I jump up & down with excitement

    Better view

Didn't like how marauding large goldfish were closing in so scooped it up in lightweight plastic sieve

Which fortunately floats on the water (lovely to see sunshine but no help with pics!)

Safe for now ... wait to see if any hatch ... maybe 8-10 days if lucky but can be up to 21 depending on which site one reads!!

  • Frog count tonight ... 4 mating pairs + 4 single individuals ... where do they all come from?? No more spawn though!

Edit:  After looking back at pic I posted of spawn in protective sieve & Mick telling me he'd seen frogs in there a couple times I just checked to find much more volume of spawn in there ... ooooh ... trained frogs!! Lol
