Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

For a good while yesterday, there was nowt to block the sun....
Until, just a few small fluffy white bits appeared....
Isn't this just cool!
No cooling fans were harmed for the above, just a fun pic, nor was it connected and used.....

Lucky to have 6 little owl families dotted around the local valley, well 6 that I know. I call this one security owl (for obvious reasons). Not seen him/her up on the security light for nearly a year so nice to catch a glimpse this morning.
Interesting pics everyone and love that Little Owl !
Here's a few from a couple of days ago that I didn't get chance to post up ….
Mr Sparrow still seems to like the brick wall - which is slowly eroding lol obviously getting minerals of some sort
who would think a beak could open that wide !!!
obviously still nesting !
not seeing as much of them on the high-wire so hopefully busy nesting in a local outbuilding/barn

Latest visitors to the quarry are Jackdaws picking & poking around, sometimes in Spadger & Starling nests, after eggs apparently or stashed food so I read on google! This pic & vid from 26th April but see them often now ...
bit of footage
Even had one early morn on trail cam helping itself to Hoggie food ... will search out that footage tomorrow!
