Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

Went to Parkgate for high tide and rspb raptor watch but sadly the tide didn't come in far enough to chase the voles and mice in !! and although there were plenty of waders and geese and female Marsh Harrier, L.Egrets more distantly, I could only get a male Stonechat and a robin close enough to photograph; it was however, very nice to meet up with Nige for a few hours despite the bitter cold and breezy weather ! Even this pic was hard cropped !
the lQQk of "don't you dare take any more photos of me " !!
PR = Parkgate Robin lol

Lovely stonechat, and the robin.
Way too cold to venture out today so just a few shots from my garden.
lollipops were out in force inbetween the hail showers....yep hail then sunshine!
nice to see the robin pose for some pics ( or just sunbathing)
Black birds always around...
whats wrong with the colour of my beak?
and finally just caught this starling as he took off...
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
