New male who I've named Colin gave us a miss over Xmas & New Year's day so was very pleased to see him this afternoon, giving me a reason to start new thread in the hope there's some romance this year!
Grim & grey day here so light was bad for pics @ almost 15.00
Resolution in vid was a great improvement ... he looks almost too pretty to be a boy!! Trademark ending though ... start as you mean to go on!

I'm keeping going while Peter keeps the cams going (until I change my mind), just in case ;)
After an uneventful night, with wandering sheep grazing, the Jackdaws arrived at the usual time (04:20-ish) and one was in the Kestrels' nest cavity for 3 minutes @ 05:00:
Checked up to 06:45 with an interruption for a Dell update :(
IMAGICAT
The Jackdaws were at the Kestrel house a lot this morning and two went in:
A feather floated down from on high - I hope it wasn't from a Jackdaw being carted off by a... can only think of a White-tailed or Golden Eagle that would qualify - they do get around, if our Isle of Wight birds are anything to go by ;)
Late lunchtime one of the parents (ashamed to say I can't tell which in this light) flew in and eventually checked a vent hole lower down before flying off:
Thanks for the ID, Wendy. I wonder which one it was who turned up @ 22:20 and looks as tho it's spending the night?
Only moths on the inside cam and I can never get a good shot of one ;)
I think it must have been Mrs, that was her regular nighttime roost:
05:20 or 05:30 (timeline is atrocious, as we know ;) ) - they didn't go in:
Does look like the female Scylla, was so busy looking for moths that I didn't see her live (was going to check if juvie) & now gone from scrollback!!
Did isolate this footage of the critter in the nest but I don't know which one it is, will ask others
