I had a lovely Minotaur Beetle around the UV trap this morning, my first ever!
Apparantly this is their time of year!

Whilst feeding my Light Brown Apple Moth larva on Dahlia leaves I must have inadvertently have included a fly egg ... the moth pupated & I removed all the old leaves, was most surprised to find a fly pupa too ... yesterday evening I found this hairy-a***d fly in the pot which I haven't ID'd yet

I have to be honest, No! They were so hairy that everytime at looked at them to compare with what was on the internet sites that I got goose-bumps. Just made made my flesh crawl.
I decided on a family, but will have to look again. Forgotton it!
EDIT : Found it Tachinidae.
On a brighter note (Ha ha) had a few Glow-worms lately including this one shining bright under the fig tree in the garden, photo with flash,
