Two New Year Wishes ... firstly that Mr K visits tomorrow to start our year off right!
... secondly that a beautiful female appears to sweep Mr K off his feet & into that nest hole!

He can't keep away now! That tail was a tough swallow indeed!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Of course we could have missed seeing him as were very busy yesterday! But he came back today on an extended visit lasting almost an hour ...
Looks to me as if he'd been bathing
He then moved to a cliff ledge where he carried on his very thorough & prolonged preen ...
No huge rats to see today!
Morning Wendy, lovely pics and videos, I expect a good wash was needed after all those rats, they might be full of jumping things that needed getting rid of, and then we are treated to a lovely preening session. Or maybe Mr K is just on the look out for a female with the breeding season coming nearer?
Lot to learn
I think we can forgive Mr K for missng a days's visit as he has given such a show now. Sure looks like he has had a bath, getting himself all spruced up for that passing lady friend!
Mr K only here for five minutes & Mick fluffed his flyaway but it was an interesting visit in more ways than one! Lol
His sprucing up is gaining momentum ... maybe he knows something we don't? Just hopes he lures a female back to the quarry!
At least he hid his eyes from us behind a thin twig after behaving in his usual way but unusual position!!!! He is getting to look quite stunning these days, bound to attract a female this year:-)
He sure is a cracker Wendy, maybe he indeed knows something we do not! That would be wonderful, Mr and Mrs K, crikey between that and the Opsreys at Loch Garten I would get nothing done!!

Lol Gaynor, I suspect that he wasn't in the least bit embarassed!

I should book your home help now CL! Lol
Will be one lucky lady Kestrel that manages to pair up with Mr K, he's such a good catch - or should that be catcher ! Love the way he's tending to that beautiful plumage, showed so nicely in the clip. Good luck for this year - it's certainly looking very promising.
