No HBHM's either ... White Buddleia has bloomed magnificently & niw fading fast with no sign of them ... Silver Y's think it's their birthdays!
Still some excellent shots from everyone. Personally, I'm seeing quite good numbers but perhaps not much variety. Mainly whites, Speckled Woods and Peacocks, with huge numbers of Gatekeepers … oh and the Common Blues now on their second flight.
Here is one of those Gatekeepers in close-up

The Brimstone & Red Admiral look fresh out of the box, the Holly blue has been around a bit though! Nice to see them Jim.
Best wishes

I think you could be right on that Hazel.
My best ever shots of Silver-washed Fritillary today, as they don't usually sit still,
Mazarine blue (open)
& closed
Sooty copper
There were dozens of Meadow fritillary's
& quite a few Spotted Fritillarys
Not bad for an hour or so ramble.
Lovely to see as I've seen any of them - most of those are rare, extremely rare or not even present over here!
Thanks Nigel, we are very lucky to get so many around here.
Great species and photos Hazel, lovely to see such a variety
