A wood pigeon taking prime post, the tallest of the posts in the garden....
Not quite a fence post, but definitely a fence, a magpie barking its commands, and probably the menacing magpie [see Menacing Magpie for hire: https://community.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/f/all-creatures/208106/menacing-magpie-for-hire/1300087#1300087]

OK, not quite a fence post,s but still a vantage point, the chimera for a juvenile house sparrow...
And a proper fence post, made of brick with wooden fence panels either side, for a juvenile house sparrow....
A perfect little poser this one, until it heard the camera shutter (set on quiet) click....
