This is just a few of a huge flock of Starlings that landed on my neighbour's roof. There must have been a couple of thousand. We do get lots of them as they feed on the blackberries along the river front but I've never seen so many at one time. There were at least ten times this number on other roofs in the area.

Fantastic sight & great photos, as Terry already said, it must have been your lucky day not to get pooped, although it's said be good luck if you do??
Best wishes

it wouldn't have been good luck to have been pooped on by that lot. I would be washing my hair for weeks. lol
Only your hair?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Lovely snaps TTB, that must have been some sight and noise!!

Wow TMB what a fantastic site and so early in the year - you're obviously on the flight path of the south London massive!
