You don't always have to go to one of our reserves to see the best in UK wildlife.

If you own a garden, or even just a window box, it can sometimes be as simple as staring out of the window to see the splendours of nature.

And thanks to our homes for wildlife project you can get simple, tailored and practical steps to make your own mini-reserve.

So what are you waiting for? Sign up this weekend and look forward to a summer of bees, butterflies and birds all enjoying your handiwork.

You can also share your love for wildlife-friendly gardening over on our Homes for Wildlife group.

Make your nature count

We're also really excited by the return of our summer wildlife survey - Make Your Nature Count. This survey is your opportunity to tell us what slithers, tweets, forages and snuffles in your garden this summer.

And if you register now, it'll not only make submitting your results in June quicker and easier, but as a thank you for registering, we're giving you 10 per cent off bird feeders and wildlife products purchased through our online shop until 12 June 2012.
