This month we're highlighting our nature reserves where you can see birds of prey. The beauty in the photo above is a marsh harrier, a species that made a remarkable comeback from only a handful of pairs back to around 360 breeding females today.

(Male marsh harriers often mate with more than one female, so we count the number of females to gauge how well the population is doing!)
