We hope you enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend, and are feeling all refreshed from three days off.

Maybe you feel as refreshed as this female blackbird will after her quick dip?

  • Hi eti

It's unlikely that the pigeons are putting the blackbirds off visiting your garden. It's actually quite natural for birds to seemingly 'disappear' in late summer. The blackbirds could either be moulting into new feathers, or just have found a plentiful supply of natural foods somewhere else. You can read more about this in our advice section: www.rspb.org.uk/.../summer.aspx

  • aw, that is a great picture.  I have not seen a blackbird in my garden for weeks.  Could it be that a group of pigeons, that frequently visit the garden are putting them off?
