Monday's magic moment: black and white and beautiful

Black and white needn't be boring! 

Without its distinctively curved bill on show, did you recognise our emblem, the avocet? These birds were photographed at our Exminster Marshes nature reserve, near Exeter in Devon.

If you'd like to explore this beautiful part of the world, our avocet cruises are a great way to get a different view of the estuary. As well as the avocets, you could also get great views of other wading birds, ducks, geese and even seals.
