We don't get many fish on Monday moment do we? But this is no ordinary fish!
I spent last week at our magical Minsmere nature reserve. Water voles plopped into the pond behind the cafe, bitterns boomed from the dense reedbeds and adders warmed up by basking in the Suffolk sunshine. But many of our visitors weren't here for these traditional Minsmere highlights - oh no! They were here for something quite different - a tiny stickleback named Spineless Simon!
Forget Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Martin Hughes-Games, our Si is the real star of BBC Springwatch!
From his nest right beside the Island Mere hide, the trials and tribulations of stickleback life are broadcast to the nation. And visitors were flocking to the hide to catch a glimpse of their fishy hero.
So in honour of Spineless Simon, here is a stickleback for you...
