Discovery Centre Café

On Friday 22nd July, we welcomed the launch of a new partnership with SWRAC – a college who provide work experience and life skills training for students with special educational needs or who sit outside the formal education system.

SWRAC are now running the café inside the RSPB Discovery Centre. The students have had a few months setting up and enjoying a 'soft' opening and on the 22nd we invited community members, groups and visitors in to chat to the students and to RSPB staff and volunteers about our joint offer. Thanks to SWRAC , What's happening Friends of Radipole Park and Gardens , Tumbledown , Dorset Council, Weymouth & Portland Police and everyone else who came along for the launch event. Café open 10am-3pm week-daily. Pop by the Discovery Centre to meet the SWRAC team and grab yourself a bite to eat or drink from the café!

Volunteering:

We are also looking for more volunteers to help us with our Visitor Engagement in and around the Discovery Centre at Radipole Lake. You would be meeting and greeting our visitors and enthusing them about our beautiful reserve.
