Though I’d sent out a quick post to remind all you budding photographers that we need your entries for the October photo of the month. Just simply submit a picture taken in October and we'll have a browse through them and hopefully choose a winner. Last months winner was that superb picture of the Red-backed Shrike which stayed at Lodmoor for a while but entries don't have to be rarities. So if you've got a photo of a robin or a wren get it on our gallery! We'll go through them at the end of this week so plenty of time to submit a photo or two.
Also whilst I'm blogging I should mention that we've had a Caspian Gull at Radipole a few times over the last few days. A Caspian Gull to most probably isn't particularly exciting but it’s a pretty rare bird in Dorset. Here's a quick photo but to be honest it’s not the most inspiring bird to excite the general nature enthusiast but as you probably know, I rather like my gulls to this bird is a real beauty!
We're growing to like your gulls too Luke!
