Some of you who visit the reserve may have seen some signs on our neighbours land saying ‘no to sea eagles here’. Why would the RSPB be proposing to re-introduce eagles to eastern England and have a sign like this at Titchwell?

Well lets get things clear - the signs are not on RSPB land and we are not proposing to re-introduce eagles at Titchwell.

The proposal for the introduction of white-tailed eagles is being led by a partnership of Natural England and RSPB. The current preferred site for this project is the Suffolk coast. The feasibility process is currently on going and is due to run until mid summer 2010. This will give everyone an opportunity to voice their support or concerns.

If you enjoy watching marsh harriers hunting along our coastal marshes or hen harriers coming into roost as the sun sets imagine your excitement as a white-tailed eagle flies over your head and drifts off into the distance.
