Blimey! Back in the office today after a pretty exciting day on the reserve yesterday seeing all the work going on. Having spent the past five years working on the Coastal Change Project it is quite difficult to put into words what it is like to finally seeing it all happening. There have been so many times it seemed as though the project wouldn't ever happen and the reserve would remain at the mercy of whatever the next winter decided to throw at us. Still, it is quite a shock when you see a piling rig appear to float across the top of the reedbed and make its way down the Parrinder line, to say it looks out of place would be an understatement! The lovely weather we are having at the moment is meaning that things are progressing a bit ahead of schedule, hopefully we might manage to get a bit more work done than expected this autumn. Keep your fingers crossed for us!
