Hello.
It's been good insect-watching weather this week, inbetween the showers.
The buddleia bushes at the front of the old house have been attracting plenty of bees, hoverflies and butterflies, including several magnificent painted ladies.
And at the old swimming pool - once the largest in the country! - dragonflies have been doing their thing. Here, a female emperor is laying eggs into the water (also called 'ovipositing'). What a beast!
If you've seen something good, please let us know!
Hi, super photo's. Hope to visit Sandy before too long. Am not far away (Northamptonshire) so it will happen one day. Keep the photo's coming because going onto the gallery page I brought up photo's by bloggers but no photo appeared. Maybe I am doing something wrong!!!
