There's been a few more fly-over hawfinches this week, and one bird that was seen really well at the hide, briefly! A good report of hobby today is a very late date - if it stays this mild for the remainder of October, could it (they?) stay into November?
Redwings are arriving in small numbers, and it will be interesting to see what the strong winds that are forecast over the weekend blow in?
It's coming up to half-term, we have a fungi detective spotter sheet, den building and a Fantastic Fungi event for youngsters aged between 7 and 12 years old. On Sunday it's our annual Halloween event, from 2- 3:30 pm, with still a few spaces left.
