I have not been to the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre for a while because the weather has been so bad. Has anybody here been down there in the last couple of days and what are conditions like?
I'm hoping to go for the first time tomorrow (weather permitting, but may head down even if it's wet). If so, I'll let you know how it's looking.

We went down today and had a quick walk around the first lake. The paths have a few puddles and there are a couple of muddy spots, but all very accessible.
Unfortunately the centre itself is closed for 'spring cleaning' until the 17th (information that would have been more useful on their webpage rather than a sign in the window).
Quite a few birds around including, crested grebe, tufted duck, shoveler, cormorant, coot, pochard, canada goose etc. Usual suspects for Thatcham by the looks of it.
