We’re improving the visitor centre and café at RSPB South Stack. This new development will provide visitors with better facilities, including a stunning ground-to-ceiling view from the café to RSPB South Stack’s dramatic spectacle, as well as a new café seating area and toilets.

Following consultation with the appointed contractor - R L Davies & Son Ltd (RLD), a new time frame has been set with building work now scheduled to start on 10 June 2019. It is anticipated that the work will take six months to complete. During this time we will introduce a car parking charge at a reduced rate of first 2 hours free and £2.50 for the day.

The nature reserve will remain open throughout, including Ellin’s Tower so that visitors can see the seabirds and discover more about the amazing wildlife. However, the Visitor Centre, shop, café, toilets and play area will be closed during construction. Temporary catering and toilet facilities are available on site during this time in the lower car park. The main visitor centre car park will have reduced parking due to the construction compound taking up half the car park. The two smaller car parks (above and below the main parking area) will be open throughout.

We look forward to seeing you and do look out for updates and more information about the timing of the works by calling 01407 762100 or visiting our Twitter page @RSPBSouthStack.
