This week at South Stack we have seen skips and demolition equipment arrive on site ready to get to work knocking down the rear of the visitor centre.  Its not as simple as just knocking the building down though.  Before the bulldozers can start work the windows will need to be removed and wiring taken out along with any other items that can be reused or recycled.

Members of the team at South Stack met recently with representatives of South Stack Ynys Lawd ltd, local residents, local councillors for Ynys Cybi and of the Isle of Anglesey County Council Highway's Service to discuss ideas to help mitigate any issues for all users of the road leading to RSPB South Stack.  An agreement was reached that an experimental traffic order should be made to facilitate the placement of temporary parking restrictions in the form of a single yellow line on both sides of South Stack Lane, Holy Island.

The yellow line will indicate that parking on the highway at this location is prohibited between the hours of 9am - 5pm from 21st March to 15th September.  Once the yellow lines are in place we will update our social media and blog.

These restrictions are being put in place for the safety of all road users of South Stack Lane whilst construction work is ongoing.
