20 - 30 waxwings were seen on Canvey Island near Dutch Cottage, close to RSPB West Canvey Marsh on Christmas Eve during the afternoon. The two images below were taken by Dave Blackwell.

Excellent, they are cracking looking birds and it's so good to hear they have arrived locally in good numbers.

there are 75 waxwing on a berry bush in a front garden in Rectory Road Hadleigh, just 200 yds from the traffic lights (Iceland) in the town centre.
