The regular readers to this blog will have noticed I have been somewhat reticent in my postings of late. This is because I have been sent out on loan to the new reserve at Middleton Lakes. I have assumed the role of Visitor & Promotions Officer and am tasked with organising events and promoting the reserve (just like it says on the tin!)
For those of you who are concerned over the continuation of news from Sandwell, then fear not as I've cajoled Lee into taking over the keyboard.
I retain a very close and keen interest in the happenings at Tanhouse because I'm only temporarily posted to the wilds of Tamworth! Anyway, as there's only 20 minutes separating the two reserves, there's no reason why, with a little cross-fertilisation, we couldn't bump in to one another in due course.
Middleton Hall hosts the annual Birdfair again over the weekend of 21st & 22nd May, giving the perfect opportunity to visit the reserve and take part in one of the scheduled guided walks.
See you on the reserves,
Best regards,
Chris Edwards
