I had the chance to pop back to 'The Valley' this week and had to comment on how well the place looks.
Walking through the wildflower garden was a delight. Everything in bloom and colours everywhere.
A special mention must go the the Prince's Trust team who worked on the sensory garden last year - come and see the results of your work.
All the bulbs planted by our QAC working party also played their part in making this area of the reserve such a great place to wander through.
My visit also included a trip down to the Lakesdie Hide - still a place of learning with the collective sages offering their view of the world. Keep going fellas!
This breeding season has also brought success for a number of our 'star' species - lapwing, little ring plover and common tern.
Best get down to Sandwell Valley and take a look.
See you on the reserves,
Best regards,
Chris Edwards
