Hello everyone,

I thought I would tell you some of the highlights recently...

There are two pairs of little ringed plover investigating the scrape at the Draper hide.
  Lovely picture by Brian Bishop

The other day there was a pair of redshank around on the Draper as well - keep an eye out! There are lapwing pairs around investgating nesting spots in the wet meadow after the flood. Talking about the meadow - the three big buffalos are back!

Loads and loads of ducks are about at the moment - Keith counted 210 ducks alone from the Draper hide the other day! There are lots of pochard, tufted duck, gadwall, mallard, shelduck, shoveler and the dodge Baikal teal cross that is continuing to confuse people!

The kingfishers are doing well. Up at the Kingfisher hide the pair have sucessfully fledged one brood, and are getting ready for their second.  Keep an eye out at the Gadwall hide as the pair are probably at the stage of feeding young!

The fox is currently catching rabbits to feed her young!
  Fabulous shot by Keith Bedford!
