There have been lots of nice sightings this week...

At the Draper hide we have seen lots of wildfowl, including teal, mallard, gadwall, tufted duck, pochard, shoveler, shelduck, a pair of little grebes (which are making a nest, have a look at the fallen trees on the right hand side), sparrowhawk, kestrel, snip and green sandpipers.

At the Moorhen hide we have had good views of snipe, green sandpiper, teal, gadwall, mallard, tufted duck, kingfisher, and chiffchaff (first seen on 16 March).

Gadwall, mallard, teal, pochard, tufted duck, shelduck, black headed gull, common gull, little black backed gull, little grebe, great crested grebe, coot, moorhen, cormorant, and mute swan have all been spotted on the lagoons at the reserve.

The kingfishers (male and female have been showing fantastically well at the Kingfisher Hide, as well as muntjac, mallard, gadwall, teal, and great spotted woodpeckers.
