Hi everyone,
The lovely David Lindo aka the Urban Birder visited today! It was the first time that he has visited us at Rye Meads, and he had a lovely time!
It might have been raining a little, but the visitors, David and myself all had a nice walk!We saw/ heard lots including:Kingfisher, teal, shoveler, tufted duck, pochard, gadwall, mallard, wigeon, little grebe, great crested grebe, common tern, black headed gull, common sandpiper, little egret, sedge warbler, reed warbler, chiffchaff, cettis warbler, watervole, fox and barn owl - well we missed the barn owl, but it was sitting out on the box! Keep an eye out!
Me and David! :)
He even signed my copy of his book for me! And yes Mum, I did get him to sign a book for you too!
Have you read David's book? You should! It's a great read, very well written. It's funny, it's engaging and it really makes you want to go and look up! You should keep an eye on his blog
When I read his book I thought it was really interesteing to find out how he got 'into' wildlife - my parents got me into it - how about you? What got you looking for nature?
Now, just to pursuade him he wants to take me birding to see lots of exciting stuff ;)
