Hi everyone,

I wanted to let you all know about this weekend is going to be a kingfisher weekend at the reserve!

Some of our lovely staff and volunteers will be out on the reserve at the kingfisher hide this weekend, so come along and say hello!
They will be telling you what has been happening, show you what is about, and there will be some colouring for children too!

The kingfisher have been the star of the show recently at the reserve, and for a few months it was a bit 'will they or won't they?' but they have started a family and are currently sitting on eggs! We might get a glimpse as the pair 'change over' from their egg sitting duties although it might not too often! There is lots of other wildlife around on site at the moment - will you see the very cute and fluffy watervole, or maybe see all our ducks (there are loads), sit in the coffee rooms and see the small birds coming to the feeding station, or maybe listen to all the birds that are singing in the bushes!

You can pick up a free wildlife spotters sheet for the kids at out reception, or perhaps one of our self guided family tour booklets, or you could even borrow a pair of binoculars (for £1.50 for the whole day!) and make the most out of your visit!

Pop along any time between 10 am-5pm and say hello!
