Rye Meads will be taking part in the nationwide Visible Migration watch on

Sunday 13th October from 7.15 am until 10.30 am

We are going to be counting migrating birds: larks, pipits, thrushes and finches should be moving now.

If you would like or help or learn more come along.

We will be watching from the car park - big sky - so no walking involved. The visitor centre will be open so the drinks machine and toilets will be available.

We will be using Twitter to share our observations with other nature reserves and to find out what is being seen elsewhere.

If you would like to come along please call 01992 708383 or email caroline.gellor@rspb.org.uk.

This is a free event!

Should be a fun morning - bring a bacon sarnie and a warm coat! Weather should be near perfect for migration.

Afterwards you can take part in the Big Sit - an all day event recording everything you see. We will be keeping a tally in the visitor centre.

Hope to see some of you on Sunday.
