On Sunday 4 September local artist Steve Kershaw will be spending the day with us at Rye Meads to draw the winning ticket for the raffle of the lovely kingfisher water color he donated.

Steve will also be sketching and painting in the visitor center 11 am - 3 pm and he will have paintings and gift cards on display and for sale.

To celebrate the we will also be running some events! We will be emptying the moth trap at 9 am (£1 per person), running trail (£1 each) and self-led pond dipping (£2 non-members members, £1 members) all day. And finally we will be running 2 sessions of family minibeasting and art 10.30 am -12 pm and 1.30 pm - 3 pm (£5 non-members and £3 members, charges for children only) please book for this activity.

Thanks to Steve for his generous donation. Tickets for the raffle are available until 31 August at £1 each so still time to stop by and get one.
