You know the garden at the front of the visitor centre?
Well over the last couple of days we've been watching the wildlifethat visits it... I wanted to show you just a couple of pictures....
Vicky took this lovely picture of a bee on the chive flowers - you can see the pollen sac - isn't it great!
These moths are Pyrausta aurata a mint moth - as the name suggests mint is the food plant, although they do eat others too. They are found mainly in meadows and gardens especially where mint, thyme or marjoram grows - why not have a look in your garden. Aren't they pretty! They are only small - wingspan can be up to 20mm. They fly during the day and at night. Aren't they nice!
