Hello
Just a bit of a heads up for you.
If you are planning to visit us on Friday 14 August please be aware that we will have no electricity that day while work is carried out on the line that feeds us. Unfortunately this will mean the CCTV and hot drinks machine in reception will be out of order and the cold drinks may get a bit warm, the lights in toilets and visitor center will not be working. No electricity will also affect the phones so if you need to ring the reserve on Friday please use number 07860756976.
Sorry for any inconvenience this causes but the wildlife on site will be unaffected, so its still worth visiting!
Green sandpiper numbers are increasing with 13 recorded on a number of occasions in the last few days, we are hoping the kingfishers are incubating just waiting to see the classic change over to confirm and snipe have returned to site in the last week with 3 showing regularly from Gadwall hide. Butterflies and dragonflies continue to show well and the buddleia in the wildlife garden is really drawing in the butterflies.
Thanks
Vicky
