This year we received the extremely generous donation of a GoPro camera by our Ramsey boat operator Thousand Islands Expeditions. This generosity is nothing new from the company that we have worked so closely with over the past 10 years. They provide us with free boat hire for seabird counts and have make an annual donation to a satellite project of ours on Balearic shearwaters in Mallorca. If you are visiting St Davids and are looking for a boat trip they are top of our list for recommendations!
So here is the debut attempt from 'Ynys Dewi Productions (not a real company!) Hopefully it gives you an idea of what it is like for us when we carry out this task. The effort we put in sometimes feels futile when you see the mountain of plastic that is out there but, apart from the obvious benefits individual birds receive, we will keep doing it to raise awareness of marine pollution which is truly a global problem
