The nice weather continues, bright and sunny again meant a tank full of hot water by the end of the day and full batteries - I love 100% renewable energy days out here! (ok so I am burning some logs tonight but it's all compressed saw mill off cuts in the form of eco logs.....)
I was a bit late getting to sheep feeding so the ladies had come to look for me. This means getting through the gate is a bit tricky but luckily Dewi was on hand to 'part the white wave' and hold them back while I drove the bike through.
No way I'm getting through there without the sheep all coming through!
Send Dewi through to clear a path!
Quieter on the bird front today - just 3 wheatears logged but another (or the same?) red kite was nice. Still waiting on our first sand martins, surely any day soon. Chough were once again busy feeding up with no apparent rush to start the breeding season any time soon!
With Joe Wicks doing a sterling job of helping to keep the nation fit during these uncertain times we are saving our bandwidth and getting creative ourselves at the Ramsey gym! Today's exercise regime involved a brisk 5km walk this morning checking on chough sites, followed by an afternoon spent moving just shy of 2 tonnes of sheep feed and logs from the harbour to the storage sheds. Of course we had the quad bike to take the strain up the hill but all needed loading and unloading at either end giving us a good workout - even if by the end getting the last few bags unloaded resembled something akin to the 'atlas balls' competition!
And in the latest 'where's Dewi sleeping today' instalment, supervising us doing all that work was clearly just too tiring!
