We took advantage of the lovely crisp morning, the first we have seen in a long long while(!), to get some deliveries across.

A panoramic shot across to the Pembrokeshire mainland this morning

Derek took the opportunity to launch his new boat, replacing the excellent 'Cwch Coch' that had served him well for the past 7 years. The old boat had seen some action, from delivering anything from post through to gas, quad bikes and building supplies to rescuing sheep off rocky beaches. Made of aluminium she could put up with a lot but Derek and I did our best to look after her! She was 'wrecked' twice in winter storms but amazingly came through unscathed both times! Derek's son, Steve, builds the boats and his company is aptly called Robust Boats!

So when a new boat was needed there was no question that aluminium would be on the cards again and here she is on her maiden voyage

Plenty of open deck space allows us to load her up with anything from gas, cans of diesel, shop stock, sheep and building supplies (not all at the same time in case our H&S officer reads this!)

Dewi and Sweep (the sheepdogs) haven't seen each other for a few weeks so were very excited this morning!
