Many of you may have heard and even helped with our Save the Albatross campaign...
Seventeen out of twenty-two species of albatross are threatened with extinction, the main threat being death at the end of a hook on a fishing long-line.
The RSPB and our partners are working simultaneously on two fronts to save the albatross: we are funding and managing the Albatross Task Force (ATF) which puts trained experts on boats to teach fishermen how to fish in seabird friendly ways; and we are working to improve policy on seabird mitigation in the fishing commissions for the high seas.
You can help by donating your used stamps and we are very pleased to say we now have a collection box at our RSPB Pagham Harbour Visitor Centre.
