Work has now started on building the new viewing screens that will look out over the Otmoor reedbed. The northern most screen is being built first and so it's worth being aware of this before making the long walk down to the end of the visitor's trail. The area around the screen is currently closed off and so although you might see the bearded tits on your way down there, you won't be able to make use of the benches at the end. Please bear with us whilst we carry out this work, the screens are going to look really good when finished, being made of the same red cedar as the hide, so they will be worth the wait.
The work on the screens is being carried out by the Tuesday volunteer work party and being funded by the Trust for Oxfordshire’s Environment (TOE2) Ltd, with landfill tax credits from Grundon Waste Management.
