The birds are back! Our ringing team have had a number of recaptures this morning. This bright male greenfinch was ringed in the autumn and probably stuck around, but two blackcaps and a chiffchaff will have been all the way to Africa and back in the mean time. A couiple of whitethroat and a nightingale have been seen in the past 24 hours, there are a few solitary swallows on the wires and a wheatear was seen on the 1st April.
