Shorne Marshes

I visited this often over-looked reserve yesterday & had a very enjoyable visit.

There were dragonflies & damselflies all over the reserve and I'm fairly sure that there was at least one brown hawker amongst the darters and common blue damsels.

Birds included a green sandpiper, a peregrine, at least 2 little egrets, several Med gulls in the large flock of black-headed gulls hawking for flies, at least 2 singing Cetti's warblers along the Thames-Medway canal and a couple of flocks of lapwing, which included some of this years young birds.
