Colin was a stalwart of Medway Local Group from at least 1989, which is as far back as our records go, so he may well have been a member for a long before this. He almost never missed an indoor meeting and attended many of our outdoor walks and coach trips.

From 2002 to 2008 he was a field trip leader so shared his knowledge of birds and wildlife with many people during this time. Colin was also a volunteer for the group at public events like the open day at Cliffe Pools Reserve, the Countryside Fair at Northward Hill Reserve and at our week-long sales stall at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre.
