These are the birds seen at Cliffe RSPB Pools over the last two or three days or so, Sandpipers, Marsh, Wood, Green and Common, Not a bad tally in a short space of time, the Marsh sandpiper has been there for a while now, showing well.
A Little ringed Plover and up to 11 Greenshank and a lone redshank enjoying the reserve.
2 spoonbills are still on Flamingo Pool and a Great White Egret, two very welcome visitors.
Not forgetting the Black-winged Stilts and their newly fledged youngsters.
A handful of Water Rails and some Yellow-legged Gulls are on the Black Barn Pools.
Avocet numbers are up to a thousand and about half that of Black-tailed Godwits.
The North Kent Marshes are a very special area and worth preserving at all cost.
