I can't believe it's 9 months since the first River Thames foreshore Plastic Clean-up took place in February! This Saturday (20/10) will see the final one of the year and we hope to remove another ton of plastic. I have 30 or so volunteers and could really handle another 10 to 20, so if you haven't registered don't worry just turn up at 10.30 pm on Saturday morning at Cliffe Pools RSPB Salt Lane car-park and join us in helping to 'Save the Planet' A slight exaggeration? Well actually no, just watch the programme 'Drowning in Plastic' on BBC One on Catchup to appreciate it is no exaggeration.

You might also be interested to know this Thursday we will be clearing the shopping trolley's out of the Morrisons Creek in Strood, which I have recently learnt is actually called Pelican Creek which may have been named after an old Public House in Strood High Street, again should you want to help, meet me outside Morrisons at 10.30 pm on the 18th, I will have an RSPB fleece on.

The North Kent Marshes are a very special area and worth preserving at all cost.
