You may have visited us during the daytime, when the butterflies are flying and the birds are singing. But what happens when we all go home? The night comes to life! Night time on the reserve is like entering a totally different world, animals that only come out during the night, such as bats, moths and foxes start appearing, and the stars and planets come out to play. Usually no one gets to see these, we’re all tucked up in bed, but for one night a year we have the best sleepover around!
Not only will we get to see some fantastic wildlife, we also have some awesome activities too. You can try out Usk astronomers' inflatable planetarium and go planet spotting with them, moth trapping with an expert guide, use our bat detectors to find all the bats we have on the reserve, roast marshmallows on the fire and much more. All this before turning in for a good night’s sleep under the stars. What could be better?
So why not join us on the Saturday 29 of July and experience a night like you never have before! There’s some more information on how to join us here - https://goo.gl/waOONl or you can pop in to our visitor centre and ask us for more information
