There's lots to keep you entertained up at the Mull of Galloway over the next couple of weeks.

On Monday 15th, Kirsty will be leading a Summer Club workshop on mammals of the Mull - she'll be setting up friendly traps so that we can get up close and personal to small mammals - we are hoping to find voles, shrews, maybe even stoat babies! She will then be helping you take apart owl pellets, to identify small mammals from their bones. Sounds morbid, but this is really fun - especially for all you boys who love grizzly stuff! Come along and join in, the workshops are open to all, and no need to book (1 - 4 p.m, £3 per child or free to Wildlife Explorers).

On Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th I will be leading my guided walks up at the Mull at 1p.m., and on Wednesday 17th another Beachcomber walk along New England Bay at 11a.m, looking at seaweeds and shells along the shoreline (this one is really great for families).

On Saturday the 27th we have our sponsored walk - 10k for Kittiwakes. If you are free, come along, it'll be a great day. Don't worry about sponsorship if you are joining up late in the day - just turn up for £5 per person - all funds go directly towards our conservation work up here at the Mull, it's a great cause! I'll be taking the 10k-ers, and Kirsty will be leading the shorter walk (about 4k), so there is something for everyone. Both walks are circular, and start from the RSPB visitor centre at 11a.m.

Hope to see you at some of these events over the next few days.
